I have a user that has a HP4250 printer connected via parallel port. She prints letter head on tray 2 and other forms (envelopes, blank forms) on tray 1. Printing to tray 2 works fine but does not always work with tray 2. sometimes if you power off/on the printer the problem goes away. You can tell the printer witch tray you want and it will always go to tray 2. I finally found a work around by pulling tray 2 out slightly...no it recognizes tray 1. Any thoughts?

Appears to be an internal problem with the printer. Either continue using your work around, get it repaired(can be expensive), or replace it.

When you pull the tray out and look in you will see on the left some push in switches. Get a can of compressed air and good blast. This is a known fault on the HP4250.
