Hello all,

HP LJ4250TN leaves special chars out eg. baltic special letters do not print at all. Printer doesnt even leave a space or print anything where the character should be.

We tested with AS400 and from there printing was Ok to this same printer. drivers are the latest ones. Im banging my head on the wall here. Anybody got a clue?

Have you checked the firmware version on the printer eventually compared it to other LJ 4250/4350 models (if you have any)?
Most such issues with missing fonts on HP printers seems to be related to the firmware version.
Try an upgrade/downgrade to see if the issue is resolved.
If a firmware update/downgrade does not resolve the issue I would recommend you call the HP support and ask them to investigate the issue.

In rare cases you might need to invest in a font dimm to be able to print certain soft fonts from SAP. These can be obtained from
If however the SAP jobs you send are printing OK on other similar HP LaserJet printer it would be reasonable the the HP support should resolve the issue for you.

Every now and then the developers of the printers "forgets" to include certain fonts when they copy/paste firmware data from one printer to another (for recycling purposes)or modify the existing.
It also happens that the fonts gets deleted on purpose if the developers run out of space on the firmware dimm leaving too little space for the printers own software instruction sets.
