HP4200dtn is networked and printing under XP Pro in Word/Wordpad. But for some reason it will not print a test page! We wanted to check for corruption in the Test Page file but we don't know where to look or the filename. Anyone out there know where to go for this?

This problem seems to be specific to one computer only, btw.

What happens if you shut it off, then power it on and hold down the 'self test' button? It'll print a test page.
That'll make sure it prints fine.

To print a test page, go into your Printers folder (start->Settings->Printers) and then right click the printer and click Properties.
There should be a "Print a test page" button near the bottom right.

Ummm....I just thought I should say that the above suggestion reflects no understanding of the question. I don't need a test page. I need the computer to print to this printer.

That said we discovered that it will in fact print any normal document, but for some reason will not print a test page. We think there may have been a corruption in the system file that generates the test pages.
