I am having trouble with a HP 420 wireless access point having great signal strength but the signal quality will go up and down for no reason. This unit is in a location without any other wireless units. I have a new HP 420 out of the box and it does the same thing. They both have the latest firmware and I have brought the new one back to the office to test and it in a controlled area and still this did not help. I tested my wireless card on other "Enterasys and Linksys" WAP's and it worked fine. I have even change the mode to "b" only.
