Here is the problem for the past couple of weeks my network users have been getting locked up in their Office applications whenever they open a document off the server. Now I know that it is not the server that they are pulling the documents from because it is doing it across the board. Even in Outlook which is pulling from my Exchange 2000 server. Here is the curious part though...I delete this HP LaserJet 4100N from the users PC and their performance comes back and nothing locks up. They can print to any other printer on the network no problem but, the 4100N...nothing. If they print a test page to the 4100N it will print fine...get in to Word and you are done. And if that was not enough...even pc's that don't have that printer installed are getting this message in event viewer.

Printer Driver HP LaserJet 4100 PCL 6 for Windows NT x86 Version-3 was added or updated. Files:- HPBF042G.DLL, HPBF042E.DLL, HPBF042I.PMD, HPBF042E.HLP, HPBFTM32.DLL, HPJCMN2U.DLL, HPPAPTS0.DLL, HPBMINI.DLL, HPBAFD32.DLL, HPBMMON.DLL, HPDOMON.DLL, HPBHEALR.DLL, HPNRA.EXE, HPBOID.EXE, HPBPRO.EXE, HPPAPML0.EXE, HPBNRAC2.DLL, HPBMIAPI.DLL, HPBOIDPS.DLL, HPBPROPS.DLL, HPJIPX1U.DLL, HPPASNM0.DLL, HPPAPML0.DLL, HPBF042G.HPI, HPBCFGRE.DLL, HPLJ4100.CFG, HPCDMC32.DLL.

Or something to this effect just changing the printer to whatever it is like this:

Printer Driver hp DeskJet 5550 series for Windows NT x86 Version-3 was added or updated. Files:- hpz2ku06.dll, hpzntp06.dll, hpf4a606.dat, hpfuih06.hlp, hpzrp306.dll, hpzstw06.exe, hpzr3206.dll, hpzcon06.dll, hpzcfg06.exe, hpzeng06.exe, hpzflt06.dll, hpzime06.dll, hpzjui06.dll, hpzpre06.exe, hpzres06.dll, hpzstc06.exe, hpztbi06.dll, hpztbu06.exe, hpztbx06.exe, hpzvip06.dll, hpzlnt06.dll, hpzcoi06.dll.

I have Windows 2000 network with 2000 Server running and sp 3 on all pc with Office XP...the only thing I have even done in the past few weeks that changed in my network to this printer was use the con2prt.exe to change the server location it was on to another. I ended up deleting that and just putting it on a whole new server completely trying to figure this out. HELP PLEASE!

Thanks
Tony Mac
