We have upgraded to the Windows 2003 Server and OS to XP Pro service pack 2 and uploaded available HP pcl5e, pcl6 and tried post script drivers. When I print pdf files my printer will print first page then display processing (estimate 5 - 15 seconds, depending on memory capacity) in menu before printing next page. Word docs print normal. Is there a setting or configuration adjustment that needs to be done to speed up pages per minute?

kstech,

PDF's are many times graphical images of a text page.

Compare file sizes of the word items that you say are printing normally to the PDF file size. If you find the PDF to be many times larger I would expect that they are graphics and these take longer to render.
