When the current user of the HP 4000 printer prints off tables and things like that, parts of the table just aren't printed. It doesn't seem to occur on just a regular text document, just on documents with tables or charts, etc. We figured it was a memory issue so we put the maximum amount of memory we could into the printer. It helped, as there isn't as much information missing, but it's is still missing some. Here's the real kicker, if it misses printing parts of a document, we close the program (let's say MS Word for this instance), then re-open it and it will usually be able to print the whole document fine. This one is a real head scratcher, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Dale

Have you checked HP's website for current f/w & drivers ?
Also check the printer FAQ's.

Just to follow up on this, I have found the following things to try, check the parallel cable to be sure it is IEEE-1294 compliant (I didn't think this was an issue but it turns out we do have some laying around in storage), also to initialize the memory on the printer, change the printer's I/O buffer from "Auto" to "On", and lastly, since the printer is connected through a Lexmark Marknet print server, updating the firmware of that.

Note that I haven't tried any of these, but just posting this for general information to others who may read this.
