I have a HP 3840 and have used it for years. I recently installed a Minolta laser printer and both printers are connected to the computer and both are recognized by the computer.

Now, when I try to print to the 3840, the print starts like it it going to print, but then it just sits there. The print job shows as printing, but nothing is happening.

If I stop the computer and restart, the print comes out after the computer restarts.

What can be causing this?

Thanks,
Fred

Stop and restart the print spooler. (Start -> control panel -> administrative tools -> services).

Also check that the spool folder is empty. c:\windows\system32\spool\printers
