We have a customer that has recently purhcased the HP Colour Laserjet 3700N and they have noticed that when printing a job and one of the trays runs out of paper, that when the tray is filled and the print job resumes it has lost at least one if not a couple of the pages.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Regards
Debbie

HP came back with the following, we followed the upgrade firmware option and it is all working ok now.

ISSUE:

The tray runs out of paper during a print job. When the tray is filled with paper and the print job resumes, the printer will skip one to two pages before finishing the print job. This issue can occur from all trays.

This issue of the printer skipping pages has been addressed. Please upgrade the printer firmware to version 6.005.0.

Go to to download the latest firmware.

WORKAROUND:

Set Jam Recovery to ON.
In the printer menu, go to Configure Device and press the (Select) button.

Scroll down to System Setup and press the (Select) button.

Scroll down to Jam Recovery and press the (Select) button.

Use the up or down buttons to scroll to ON. Jam Recovery is set to AUTO by default and will need to be changed to ON.

Press the (Select) button to save the setting.
