hp 3200c scanner

Im get a large yellow band while scanning. Using HP home procedure doesn't work. I hatebto discard it.

Hp tech support always told me that their scanners are resource hogs and your system resources should be around 95% free. End task on everything in the background except stimon and explorer and try the scanner again. If this doesn't work, remove the scanner in device manager and re-start and let windows re-install everything and end task like above and try it again. Sometimes disabling two-way communications on the printer will fix it. (If your scanner is parallel and a printer is attached.) If these things don't work you may have a bad scanner. Jim

Looks like a bad scanner. Same defect on another computer.
