The printer and scanner worked fine through one of the ethernet ports in my wireless router until the router packed in. Temporarily I ran the printer on USB until the router was replaced and the ethernet connection remade. Now the scanner part will not work with the HP software but will with Windows (XP)- printing otherwise is OK.
If I run a HP utility 'Scan Diagnostics', it reports that it cannot run as the printer is "HP Photosmart 3200 #2" - there is no "#2" in the entry in 'Printers and Faxes'. How do I resolve this ?
