trying to print 8x10 glossy photos with hp 2605dn color laser jet (only about 4 months old and hardly used). using 10 pt ultra glossy photo paper from kinkos (told them i would be using a color laser). shows "paper jam" everytime i print and i have to open and close the drawer then it will print. i have the sertting on heavy gloss paper (also tried other settings, all the same). also, can't seem to get it to print glossy. prints in the colored areas look dull, not glossy no matter what setting i try to use. not a pro by any means. just a poor guy trying to print some photos for the boss at work. please help. aloha.

I have no helpful tips to offer, but I have printed on 'staples color laser photo supreme glossy' using this printer model without any trouble.

Do you have any better luck using the single sheet feed? Probably not what you want to do, but worth a test.

You will need to manually feed for the 2605dn.

The reason that it is jamming is the paper is too heavy to make the sharp turn coming out of the paper tray.

Insert one page, and it will "pull" it in about a quarter inch, then it will print to it.

Don't try to load the paper in the tray. You will have to "spoon feed" it one sheet at a time in the manual feeder.
