Hi all,
We have a LAN, PDC is NT4 with several W2k servers, workstations are W2k and XP Pro, various printers including two HP 2250tn's. One of the W2k servers is also the global print server.
When a standard document is sent to the 2250 it is handled OK although somewhat slowly. When a photo is sent to the same printer it stalls the printer and causes all other docs to back up in the spooler until the whole mess dies.
Why won't those printers do photos? The smaller inkjets that are directly connected to some of the workstations seem to handle them all right.
I tried bypassing the print server by creating individual printer definitions for the 2250 on workstations with a TCP/IP port with the same result--printer stalls.
Any ideas would be very welcomed.
Thanks and regards,
David Tracy.
