I have a laserjet 2200DN that will print all letters except a lowercase "l". This even occurs on the config. page. It will print capital "L"'s, and all lower case letters except "l". Please help.

Have you tried the printer on different computers? Are you sure you are using the right driver? What happens if you use Laserjet 4 driver?

Matt J.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

sounds as if NVRAM corrupted. try following to clear:

HP 2200 -
Cold reset:
1. Turn the printer power off.
2. Press and hold GO.
3. Turn the printer power back on and continue to hold GO until the Attention light turns on.
4. Release GO.
5. The device lights will begin cycling from front to rear. The cold-reset process will run until completion and the device will go to the ready state.

NVRAM Reset:
1. Turn the printer power off.
2. Press and hold GO.
3. Turn the printer power back on and continue to hold GO until the Attention, Ready, and Go lights turn on.
4. Release GO.
5. The device lights will begin cycling from font to rear. The NVRAM initialization will run until completion and the device will go to the ready state.

try test page from printer. if still no good, DIMM may be corrupted. check if printer still under warranty.
