When I am printing a 20 page document, the printer pauses for a minute or 2 before deciding to finally spit out each respective page. If I press the 3rd button with the triange on it (resume button?) it will spit the page out but i have to keep doing this for each page. Anyone know why it does this. Thanks in anticpation.

read the manual, see if you can find a section say setting form feed, you or somebody else may have enabled it by accident,

some times there is a need to print one page at a time when you try to print a form

i should mention that this problem has just suddenly occured. The multi-sheet paper feed was working just fine before. It ejects almost all of each page but not quite. I need to press the button each time.

This can happen under the following circumstances as well:

1) The paper size got changed; either the printer thinks there's a different size paper in ther, or the document is trying to print A4 when you have Letter, etc.
2) I had a printer "forget" that it had a paper tray, and would only feed from the manual tray. A hard-reset on the printer solved this.
3) Check the paper tray, and make sure that the paper holder hasn't moved, etc. so that the printer thinks it's got an odd-sized paper in it.

Let me know if any of these help.

thanks - it stopped doing it all of a sudden so I'll have to wait till it happens again to try to confirm your hypothesis! It sounds feasible, since i sometimes use another type of (a4) paper but if you're right, is there a roller or something which needs adjusting. (rebooting the printer didn't work).
thanks again.
