Hi There..
I have 3 hp1300n running in a w2000 domain. All 3 printers have static IPs and print fine. When I had to connect client machines to these printers, I had to log on as admin and set them as local printers on a tcp/ip port, this is a bit of a pain... so I installed all 3 printers as local printers on a single computer, tested them all ok. So now I can add a printer by treating it as a network printer and just map to the computer that has them locally.
My issue is this..for no reason that I can yet figure out..they will lose their connection, if I go into the print properties on the client computers 1 or more of these network will tell me the printer is uable to connect, and if i try and test print im told the print subsystem is unavailable..A reboot fixes the issue until next time, which could me minutes later or weeks later.......
Any ideas??
