HP 1055 Print Problem

Aloha,

We've had this printer for quite some time now, and just recently we've been experiencing network related issues with this printer.
We have it set up on a shared network, and when trying to print from a remote computer it'll not print. I've removed, and added it back through the "Add Printer" options, and it'll work for a couple of hours then fail.

Have you tried manually connecting it to a laptop or on its own separate network to see if it is the server, printer, or network at fault?

I've manually connected it to a laptop, and had no luck trying to print from it from USB. However, it has it's moments when printing locally on both the Network and USB (Where you have to cycle the power to resume printing).

Sounds like a board issue. If you are familiar with this unit enough to take it apart and analyze the logic boards, I would replace it with a spare and do so. If not, a service tech might be a good call as this is likely to get technical fast.

This is about a 40 dollar printer. I wouldn't spend a lot of time on it. I'd buy a new one.
