hp 1012 laser won't print rtf unless you push the top button

I have been trying to print a Word 2000 file to my HP 1012 laser but whenever I print the top yellow button on the 1012 starts flashing and the file will not print until I push the top button on the printer. This particular Word file is the only document that this printer oddity occurs with.

Any suggestions?

The one thing that comes to mind is paper size.
Perhaps the document is configured as a different paper size then you are using in the printer. The printer then realizes this and wants your attention to put in the correct size paper.

The workaround would be to copy and paste the document into a new document and see if the same thing occurs.
