We have a Squadron with 4 Power5 cpus which is blocked at boot time with the "Incomplete" HMC status.
THe last OPerator panel value is C7004091. At this point only a reset of the NVRAM is possible (in our case we try all others solutions). How to process ?

Unless you stole it :)) , call IBM, It must be under warranty.
Or look it up on the Info Centre website / CD - piontless, it's rubbish.
Call IBM and raise a service request.

hi!
if you want to reset nvram, you have to reseat nvram battery on HMC connected the service processor card.

OK, thanks ... but we did find a solution by connecting the Service Processor directly to an ascii terminal and we found a menu to do that.
Now all works fine.

Another solution exist as well, but needs a special harware piece:

On the main drawer somewhere near to the serial number there is a little hole on the cover. Similar hole as you can see on CD readers. There is a tiny button which you can push using a paper clip. Press and hold for a few seconds and the nvram will return to the factory default.

No joke, I've read it in an IBM manual, and an IBM service representative confirmed as well.
