howto enter linux prompt from "lilo..."

Hello everyone
When I boot the computer I get the "LILO loading imaging..." and then the computer restarts and loads my OS. And my question is: How can I enter the linux prompt from "LILO loading imaging" ? What keys do I press ?

As the computer is booting up hold down the left shift key.
