I have homebrew 800mhz athlon with 256MB Ram and Winxp as Gateway, it has 2 nix one to dsl modem, the other connected to the HUB, clients connect via the hub obviously, now, I want to get my solaris x86 box up on the internet.. I did ifconfig dnet0 192.168.0.4 netmask 255.255.255.0 since verizon dsl, here in NYC is dynamic ip for homes...I want to connect via the windowsxp box, ICS is setup and the other client connexts fine.
Any tips would be very helpful...
Thank you.

You will need to create the file /etc/defaultrouter and place your gateway ip in it. You will also need to create the following:

/etc/resolv.conf - enter you nameserver information into the file.

copy or cp /etc/nsswitch.dns /etc/nsswitch.conf, this will use dns before files for dns lookup.

Hope this helps.
