HowTo: Change a shortcut to a domain to a replication

I am wondering if it is possible to change a created shortcut into a replica?

Scenario explained:
I have the shortcut to Domain (X) in physical model pdm(A) referencing to domain (X) in physical model pdm(B) and want the shortcut in pdm(A) to be changed into a replication of the domain in pdm(B) instead.
It is possible to change the reference on a single column from the drop down box in the column properties - But having many columns in the shortcutted domain (and many shorcutted domains), makes this method...Undesireable
