Howo to make cool forms/windows?

Hello.

I need to design some cool windows from my application. I talking like the ones with the round corners and cool look (think Windows XP, Winamp, etc...). Can anyone shed some light on how to achieve that?

He used to do a session at the annual Borland Developer's Conference called either "The Fun Side of Delphi" or "The Dark Side of Delphi" where he showed some examples of what you're looking for.

(My favorite in the late '90's was the "click me" button that ran away from the cursor - I had evil thoughts of springing that one on the stereotypically "dumb blonde" trainer that I had to work with at the time...)

remember that all those fancy windows and skins ect...
put a lot of extra load on your app.

ive seen apps that are dog slow when a skin is applied
and hammers when set to standard.
