How you create this slider (I think its ajax)

Looks like a straightforward javascript slider - why not just look at the page source?

a slider in itself doesn't require ajax. it's purely a visual control. the slider may have events to hook into (sliding, changing start, stop). in these events you could provide ajax functionality, but the slider itself is not dependent on ajax.

I find the jquery ui library is great for enhancing the ui.
