We have two secondary SMS site servers with NT 4.0 that we need to permanently remove SMS 2.0 from. What is the best procedure to do this? Also how many reboots will be required for this removal? Any pointers would be most appreciated.

Check MS KB... Article Q287717
This is normally for failed secondary site installations but has a detailed description how to remove everything for the machine.... Hope it helps?!

Another good article is Q234484, we've done this several times and have come to use this like a bible. Also if there is client software on the system, use 20clicln.bat and preferrably the one with the /SCRUB function. We modified it to basically remove anything SMS from a system. GoodLuck

I have to agree with mesms about article Q234484 being the way to go. The number of reboots should only be one, and that is because a reboot is needed any time changes are made to the registry. As with anything pertaining to SMS...Good Luck
