how would you do this effect???
I've tried posterizing, decrease color depth followed by grayscaling and other stuff. I got something very similar but not quite it.

here's what I wanna do.

Can we see the photo you are trying to modify? On the image you have in your link the light is very even and flat, is you image like that? Or are there alot of shadows and highlights?

 
Convert to CMYK then go to your levels and adjust just your black input levels to the right.
