S8300 with a G430, I have read the docs but it si not clear how to connect a Music on hold source, I mean:

On the GW or over an analog extn ?
How to manage it, (how to set it up)
No way to receive a beep-tone on hold/transfer when the MOH has not been provided ?

You can provide a tone when users are on hold. Type Change music-source, and under the type column enter Tone, the callers will hear a tone then when on hold.

In addition to tone, you can connect a music source to a analog port or you can also record some music to an announcement board. The announcement type needs to be integ-mus if you go that route. If you are not using tenant partitioning you would set the announcement extension, or analog port, in change system feature on the first page I believe. With partitioning turned on use change music.

If tenant partitioning is "n" then you use
Code:
Command: change system-parameters features

Music/Tone on Hold: music Type: ext 1001
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If tenant partitioning is "y" then you use
Command: change music-sources

Code:
display system-parameters customer-options Page 5 of 10

Thank you all, but before I reply one by one I would undestand what are both the "Tenant" and "Tenant Partinioning" concept and what is made for.
I read the CM doc but I haven't understood at all.

Tenant partitioning is used if you if you have different locations that require separate music sources and/or attendant routing. Tenants can also be setup to not allow one tenant to call another.
You assign a station to a tenant partition on the station form on the first page in the TN field.

I feel like a dummy...

Checked out partitioning, it is set to Y.
Not clear how to create a new music source, I tried by using the cmmand "add announcement" but then I am still no able to set it into the change music-sources command.

How to set an analog ext ad a music source ?
I supposed I have to set the analog port in some way in the port type setting in the station menu, is it correct ?
How to use/set the "audio" port on the G430 gwy ?

tks
