How use functions of Win32 API in Perl ?

I work now with the 5.6.1 Perl version.

With the 5.003 Perl version, I used the "Win32-API" module, disponible
on "

http://www.perl.com/CPAN-local",

but when I try to use this module with the 5.6.1 Perl version, I have an error :
"Can't find loadable object for module Win32::API"

What is the signification of this message ??
Is someone have a other solution to use the functions of Win32 API in Perl ??
