Anybody knows how I can have a laptop configure for a fixed ip ( ex. LAn) and use it with a second connection that uses dynamic ip without changing all the settings everytime.

Is there a program out there that does that or is the only solution is to use a second network card?

GlobeSoft offers a product I think will fit your needs. It will allow you to choose how you connect @ startup (via static ip or dhcp)

Let me know if it works!

Does anyone know if it's possible to set up metrics to accomplish this? For Instance: look for DHCP as default and set a static IP w/ a metric of 10 as backup. If the comp can't find a DHCP server, it will automatically use the static. Possible?
