Hi,

How to connect to a remote DB2 database from a trigger in a local DB2 database? Is it possible?

Thanks,
Bob

YES.

Assuming you selected the Federated DB support option when installing.

In other words, as with any trigger, just use a 'raw' sql environment to run your statement, referencing the appropriate DB2SYSTEM (as defined in the catalogued nodes).

This allows you to:
a) Test that the local and remote security accepts the given sql
b) Test that the results returned are as expected BEFORE you test the trigger itself.
