How to write a barcode that will read "Data Tab Data"

I have two fields, JobID and SubJobID, that need to be populated. I want to be able to write a barcode that will put in the JobID, then a tab, and then the SubJobID, all in one line. Our scanners automatically put in an enter after reading the code. I am using Code 39.

what label program are you using? You actually sound like you need a label that has one barcode that will scan it all in one shot. You can concatenate the 2 values with spaces in between.

Your barcode software should be able to use functions to do this.
