Dear everybody!
I'm trying to link a simple DC electric circuit with computer. It is a kind of counter (once per 2 secs there is a peak of current) and I need it to measure the time between peaks accurately -> that might not be a problem for UNIX. I just don't know how to work with paralel port (I guess thats the simplest way how to do it). Any information, links or anything is welcome.

Sounds like you need some sort of current measuring device with an analogue to digital converter which monitors the current and produces a digital signals the value of which relates to the measured current.

You would then need a unix script or software which continuously monitors the parallel port and reads the current value.

Sorry this is very brief, but hope that it helps you.
