How can I view Chinese on my G4? Is there any free software I can download to able my web brower to view Chinese characters?

Hi MaggieY

If you have a G4 then you also have system 8 or above. Within the system install you have a choice to select the languages, in there go custom and choose either traditional or simplified chinese there is nothing to it.

To input chinese characteres you have to be able to use the input system.

If you are inquiring about your browser exclusively ... and you are using Ineternet Explorer (using IE 5 here) you can add a language - like Chinese.

Edit |Preferences | Web Browser | Language & Fonts

Click "ADD" and choose the Chinese you prefer.

See if this doesn't help. In addition, the previous post is accurate. The system install disk does allow for a "Custon Install" and you can select additional language components for install.

Need help with this??
