How to version reports for deployment

Just out of curiosity, I would like to know how some of you out there are versioning your reports. Example: Client_Name_V1 after the next deployment to production the version changes to
Client_Name_V1.1

Any comments or feedback is appreciated

None of our Crystal reports are updated by the users - they're all done by IT. So, all of our versioning is done in PVCS which we are using for configuration management. The filenames remain the same, but I can go into the tool and go back to earlier versions if I need to.
