Often I need to know how use features available on this site so that I can communicate my thoughts better.

One feature I need to know about is how do I post a picture? Is this even possible?

Take a look at the "process TGML" link at the bottom of the reply window

A little to fast, as usual, this doesn't "post a picture", you'll need to uppload the image to some site somewhere, then a link as above should display it.
