How to use the "POST" Method?

Hello!
How do I mail a form with the "POST" method?
When I try to do method="POST" action="mailto:x.y@domain.dom", the form is sent but I can not open it with any application. Could somebody tell me why or give me a tip?

is it a .att or .atd or something like that file?

if it is open it with notepad :)
