how to use scp/sftp in SSH without prompting for password

Hi,
does anybody knows how to use an scp command in ssh? I am actually trying to copy files from a remote server with ssh installed on both servers. The problem is that i have to copy using a job script in cron.... but the command scp or sftp requires an interactive password entry. really need help very badly... thanks in advance....
