Is it possible to use database replication where the database has both a front-end and a back-end ?

The back-end database resides on a network drive named Main_Server, while the front-end database resides on a PC.
The laptop is the only computer that has both a back-end and a front-end. Sometime, the Laptop will not be connected to the network.

/////////////////////////////////////////

Network Drive Name: Main_Server
Contains : Customer_Back_End.mdb

Laptop Name : Laptop_1
Contains : Customer_Back_End.mdb and
Customer_Front_End.mdb

PC Name : PC_1
Contains : Customer_Front_End.mdb

PC Name : PC_2
Contains : Customer_Front_End.mdb

/////////////////////////////////////////

Question 1: Will replication work for the laptop computer ?

Question 2: If replication is possible in this scenario, then would it replicate only for the back-end or both
the front-end and the back-end ?

Replication has meaning only for data, so only the BackEnd should be replicated.
Warning: hopefully in your DB autonumbers have not another meaning than to be unique.

Hope This Helps, PH.
