Hi,
I need to use ghost cast in a multiple nic machine.I have multiple nics of same make and driver housed in a single machine. I need to Run the network ghost cast using a network boot floppy. But on booting through this floppy, it says, mulitple network cards detected and blablabla.
So I need to know how to specify, from which nic the ghost cast should go through.
Please help me out ..
Rgds,

It's the "blablabla" part you need to pay attention to. In there it will list the addresses of the cards within the PC (for example 0x0160). Write down these codes then goto the floppy disk and open the folder called NET. In there you need to edit a file called PROTOCOL.INI. In the file is a header section called [NIC]. Under this heading you need to add the line SLOT=XXXXX, where XXXXX is the address of one of your nic cards. Save the file back onto the floppy and re-try the network boot disk. The DOS driver should bind correctly to one of your cards.

Finding the right card associated to the right address can sometimes be a challenge in itself. As long as the binding went correctly, one of the cards will be working correctly. I usually just go by trial and error, booting the network disk each time I change jacks until I plug into the card that is working correctly. Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot!!
Infact I was not aware where to put this SLOT parameter...
It works well
Thanks once again
