Hi ,

I have an ethernet card and modem.

I have used modem for internet connection and ethernet card
for inner side. I have installed and started ISA server.

I changed the internet options on the same machine, default gateaway to my ethernet card 192.168.0.1 and port 8080 and 80 ( tried both)

I have connected to internet and I can visit everypage.

But when I cant see myself in monitoring/sessions.

And I cant use my applied policies for me.

How can I do this?

I am trying to learn ISA, on a single machine, this is why I am trying?

Regards

Tim

Ok, on your NIC, does that currently have a link ? Ie. Its connected to a hub/switch.
If your not sure what i mean, in the right hand side of your taskbar if it shows a disconnected network symbol it means your network card hasnt got a link.
This is why it isnt showing your session in ISA management console, because the network card isnt connected, windows doesnt use it, so your proxy is just bypassing it and since the modem is on the same machine it just goes out the modem.
As for the proxy settings in IE, it is port 8080 not port 80.
Another tip using the secureNAT client (ie. Using default gateway of server) doesnt work very well at all. I would recommend installing the ISA Firewall client.
