Hi!

I'm making an inbound map in Gentran NT, but in one segment I need to use indexes because the input field is deeper than the output field, but when I use the indexes in the extended rule, the data is not mapped correctly to the output field, instead of the value it insert spaces.
My extended rule is this:

#ShipmentIdentNumber = $3231_RFF:2[2][1][1][1].#1154:6;

Does someone know how to use the indexes correclty?

Thanks!

I dont usually handle this kind of issue with indices. You can modify the output side of the map to be deeper so that you can make the mapping work.

If you want to use indices, you may have to build a SHALLOW temporary segment on the input side and write the rule with indices so as to pass the value to the temporary segment.

Hope this helps.
