Hi every body. should be a very simple one, but I can't get it.

what will be the right syntax to use the format function for a date in a control source?

I tried:
format([OrdPic_PickupDate], "MM DD") [blue]OrdPic_PickupDate is a field containing value of data type[/blue]
I get #Name? in the textbox

I tried to add a '=' at the beginning, and Access wouldn't let me go further (because of some 'syntax error'...)

Thanks in advanced for your help

In stead of using the format function in the controlsource, use the field in the controlsource, and specify the format in the format property

Thanks Roy Vidar,

But, the problem is that i want to have the date in MM/DD format (=06/25), and I don't find this option in the format propety list.

can I add tp the format prperty a function by myself?

Thakns a lot Roy. that was a great lesson for me.
