How to use a Scripting.FilesystemObject in JAvascript
without changing the internet options of the browser

U cannot use Scripting.FilesystemObject objects cuz it is an ActiveXObject but it also has acces to the users files and HDD's and u will need to confirm that u want to use AcitveXObjects on your page... ________

i want to access a file(text) from client .is there any way without using this ActveX objects.

What I would do is use the pure ASP upload component on 4guysfromrolla.com to upload the text file to the server. You can then use any objects you need to manipulate it.

U cannot acess the client file from the script cuz is an problem of security, the client script cannot acess the client HDD withowt prompt him ________
