How to Use Dump Check Utility??

Hi, i have lots of other problems but that is in another thread. I am now tryin to use dumpcheck to look at a 'minidump' file but am finding it hard so far from the piece of crap microsoft call a support page and other posts on these forums. I have donwloaded debugging tools for windows and have tried to run dmpchk application but it doesnt seem to work. What am i doing wrong??
