how to use designjet

We just got a designjet 800 to use for specific applications at our office. We now want to use it to print basic wall posters, but we dont have any applications that do that sort of thing. Is there a simple application that we can use to create and print basic posters? Word97/2000 wont work, as far as I can tell the pathetic MS Publisher wont do it either. Just fishing in the dark for something simple if anyone has any suggestions.

we have Desigen jet 5000 whitch is not a postscript
printer their for we must rip the info to be printed
and send that to the printer

we do this through rampage and quark

it may be posiable to set this stuff up and
then down load the file to the printer Greg
