How to use DCOM in Data Environment

Currently, we have a VB6 client program running based on DCOM technology. That is, we used DCOM object to retrieve database data (from MS SQL Server 7.0).<br>

In our client program, we have to use Data Report / Data Environment for report printing. CAN we apply DCOM technology to the Data Environment?? Right now, I have to specify the connection details to the SQL Server which is of course not what I want!<br>
