Hello,

I have a Cisco 3560-PoE switch and a few DBC 425's & 422's. I wish the PC port in the phones to be in a different VLAN (i.e. 2) than the Phone voice traffic (i.e. 1).

I have left the phones with the same config as suggested by the ALEX CD phones but no matter how I configure the Cisco to have trunking, switch port voice vlan etc.. The PC port is still sitting in the same VLAN as the phone - help? Can someone just post the VLAN part of their DBC boot config file from their & a single Cisco switcport setup - if possible?

Many thanks,

Paul.

I don't have Cisco switch but Nortel BPS switch.
I configured the switchport as simple access port being member of both vlan 1 (PC) and vlan 2 (phone).
In the phone's config file I have this for vlan setting:

[L2QOS]
MIIPort=6,2 ;prio (0-7) ,VID(1-4095)
PCPort=0,1 ;prio (0-7) ,VID(1-4095)
LANPort=1,1 ;MAC based VLAN/802.1Q based VLAN , untagged/tagged PC ori

With the above setting I noticed (tested) that the only host that can communicate with the Phone is the PC/laptop connected to the PC port of the phone. And of course all the other Iphones on vlan 2.
