onChange is a client side event -- ASP is server side...

There are some FAQ's in this forum about client vs. server side script and how to use them together, and there are also some FAQ's about remote scripting...

Four in total... would make some good reading for you. Remote scripting would allow you to use the onChange for a server side function. It can get complicated, though.
