How to use Address bar without typing HTTP://

The best thing to do on both machines is use the Ctrl+Enter command.

type tek-tips in the address bar then hold Ctrl and press enter, this will automatically fill in the prefix and .com

Thanks for the tip but it does not solve my problem once most of the sites I use have the suffix .BR.

Just wanted to type the address without HTTP://

Hi Fabio

Try unticking [Do not search from address bar]

Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet options, Advanced tab

This will stop searching from the taskbar and may solve the problem.
