I have written an update query to update the date in a specific record on a table based upon the Criteria of the query.
When you run the query you are asked to input the Student name. You enter this and then you are asked to enter the task, you do this also. The query runs without problem when you enter the names and task correctly

But

I want to set it up so that instead of entering the student name,a combo box is displayed where you select a name.
I have already set up a form to include the Update query command button and a combo box for students but I do not know how to get it working???

Hep Please

Check out the online help for Query By Form. You can build your SQL string based on the values of the controls on your form. Like-
UPDATE thistable SET thisfield = Forms!yourform.yourcontrol.value WHERE someconditioninvolvingyourcontrols I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.
